I’m loving denim this season, and this jacket is one piece that I plan to continue mixing and matching for different looks. Paired with my recent favorite jeans from Zara and my Sam Edelman flats, this could be my weekend errand running/lunching/playdating uniform for fall.
I disagree with people who think flats are unattractive or a sign that you just don’t care anymore. I think they can be feminine, cute, and comfortable all at the same time. Win-win. I also love this turquoise scarf I picked up from H&M – it is floral and bright and makes the outfit a little more fun in my opinion. Did I mention I love scarves?
In other news, I am going to be sharing with you my guest room in its current state (blah), and my plans for the renovation (wow)! I’m very excited to share my design planning process with you. I’m a bit of a perfectionist with the planning, it’s the Virgo in me, but I also like to go with the flow while I’m actually in the process of executing the design. I think you absolutely must capitalize on a creative burst of energy or excitement when it happens, even if it means straying from your original road map. It could be that impulse buy that makes the room, like the paper mache elephant head that is hanging in my powder room. Stay tuned for more on the guest room renovation!
