Emerald and Grey

What you don’t see is there are palm trees and it is nearly 70 degrees on this particular day, this picture was taken while visiting my family in California. Sacramento is typically warmer than the Bay Area so I spent my time there wearing light layers, catching as many rays as humanly possible, and treating myself to ice cream cones daily. These Vince Camuto peep-toe booties are making another appearance – I just love wearing a bootie instead of a pump, with everything from denim to dresses.

But for now we are tucking away these booties to the back of the shoe closet, and bringing out the snow boots, my favorites are from here – they have some really unique styles – and I am constantly getting complimented on mine! I’m one of those freaks who loves winter as much as summer, possibly because I grew up without a real winter.

This past weekend we had planned to go to the nearby snow hill and get Adam his first ski lesson, but he got really sick and we were all out of commission for a few days. He loves snow so I was really sad to break it to him that we weren’t going out. Thankfully, he is back on track now and feeling great so we are going to try again this weekend! I’m a little nervous but excited for him to try skiing, knowing him he will be skiing circles around me in no time!

P.S. I always forget if it is “gray” or “grey” but this time I choose grey. After a quick google search, I found this explanation by one of my favorite bloggers, Damsel in Dior. You can check it out and decide for yourself!
