Trench Coat and Over The Knee Boots

Wore this dress to a friend’s birthday tea party and was pretty upset with myself for not getting one full picture of it, that is until I shot these retakes in the most epic of locations – a pink tree lined street which just happens to be around the corner from my house. Lesson learned: when one door closes, another (prettier) one may just open up!

About the look: I’m wearing my timeless Fall staples, the trench coat and suede boots. Both are definitely what I would call my investment pieces. I get so much use out of my investment buys, to me they are truly worth every penny. However, if you want to get the look without having to make a long term commitment, I’ve linked to almost exact duplicates below at even more wallet friendly price points. The dress from Stylewe is such a pretty sculptural dress. I love how the sleeves have that special detail and they are a little more voluminous. I don’t always feel like making the baby bump so visible, and a wide mini dress is a great way to minimize the top half of the body.

On another note – I’m still exhausted from staying up way past my bedtime cheering on the Cubbies last night! What an epic final game to the most amazing season. Proud to be here in Chicago for such an awesome milestone – Go Cubs Go!
