The Shirtdress Two Ways with Thacker NYC

This past weekend we shot some family photos, and as usual I picked out clothes for the boys to wear. One thing that struck me about fashion for boys and men, is that it is so incredibly simple.  The colors, fits, and washes change but for the most part the pieces stay constant. I thought, if only women could have a similar formula or strategy for wardrobe, life would be a whole lot simpler. Enter: Thacker New York.

Today I’m partnering with Thacker New York to show you two ways to wear one of my favorite closet essentials, the Shirtdress. Thacker New York focuses on creating the essentials that make up the hardest 10% of your closet that you reach for daily, including basics and modern pieces – all with unique and special design touches. As a busy mom, it is so important for me to own clothes that are versatile enough to wear over and over throughout the seasons. They also have an awesome feature on their website, an online style app where there are tons of style ideas there for you to scroll through- you can even create your own outfits and save them to reference later.

The shirtdress is one of my favorite pieces because it can be worn in so many ways. The standard way, buttoned up and belted, is how I wear it typically. Today I wanted to show you a two new ways to wear it to create completely different looks. The first is a casual weekend look, with jeans, a cowl-neck tank, low-heeled boots, and a beanie. It takes your typical jeans and a tee look and makes it a little bit cooler and edgier. The second way is a bit dressier, possibly for a work look, worn over a sweater dress, scarf, and over the knee boots.

Both looks are paired with a my new obsession, the Thacker Le Pouch bag, which is perfectly sized for carrying essentials like keys, wallet, a phone, some makeup, and a charger. I love that one side is suede and the other is leather, so you can wear it two ways, and you don’t have to worry about setting it down on the suede side and possibly getting it dirty.

Which look do you prefer? Let me know!

Thanks for visiting as always xx
