Frayed denim and Slingbacks

I received these two-tone frayed hem jeans while I was pregnant, and I have been counting the days that I could wear them ever since. I was just able to button them up all the way the other day and that was a good enough reason for me to decide to wear them, though to be honest I still need to lose my last 10 pounds of baby weight before they fit the way they are supposed to – haha.

Anyway, I’m loving all of the creative takes on denim we have been seeing – whether it is patchwork, embroidered patches, or statement making frayed hems. If I were to add only one thing in my wardrobe for Spring right now it would be to add a new pair of jeans. Below I’ve linked to some on my wish list right now.

Also I’ve been getting a little creative with outfits these days because my new curves require me to dress for a different body shape than I had pre-baby. (You should see my closet after I get dressed on any given day – more clothes on the floor than on the racks – haha). One easy go-to of mine though is layering a cami or blouse with a blazer or a cardigan that hits at about the hip. The fabric should be soft so that it doesn’t add a lot of bulk on top. (Also since my jeans are a little extra snug I wanted to balance it out with a flowy top half.)

Now off to go pay my taxes – ugh – adulting is no fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by as always!
