Camel and Black

Hey there! I’m happy to announce, I am officially free of any foreign objects in my face. If you didn’t read the details about it in this post, basically I had to get a piece of glass surgically removed from my face. Stay tuned for a lot of side poses and strategically placed accessories in future blog posts until it heals!

One thing I love about fall is breaking out my favorite sweaters. This knit is one of my favorite color combinations, camel and black. I bought this from Nordstrom rack then fell in love with the brand Maxstudio http://www.maxstudio.com.

They have some really great timeless pieces like the one I’m wearing here. I decided a while ago that everything I purchase from now on should stand the test of time, meaning it should be high quality and it should be something I could see myself wearing in at least five more years. It keeps me from buying a bunch of stuff that I don’t really need, helping me save up for better things!

By the way, it was raining outside so I had to improvise with the pictures inside the house!

Speaking of investment pieces, I want to give you the heads up on an upcoming sale – You must know how much I love fashion jewelry by now, and Gilt.com is having an exclusive Kenneth Jay Lane sale in celebration of his 50th anniversary.

Some details:

Past and present fans of his costume couture include Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor, Sarah Jessica Parker, the Olsen twins, Rihanna and more. This exclusive sale is set to kick off Wednesday, October 17th at 12pm ET.  Below are pictures of his amazing jewelry. I may just need that bracelet and that matching cocktail ring myself! Have fun shopping!

One last thing – and I promise I do NOT work for Gilt Groupe! I got this email today and I just had to share it with you all. I love Kate Spade, and I am totally trying out this app for today’s sale.

NEW UPGRADED GILT GROUPE iPHONE APPLICATION
Buying clothes online is no problem but the stakes are higher when buying sunglasses online as there are no size charts to gauge what they will actually look like once they arrive. Combatting this problem, Gilt.com has just rolled out an upgrade to its iPhone app. Developed in-house at Gilt.com, this new offering allows shoppers to virtually try on the sunglasses for sale through mobile devices on the Gilt app.

Starting today (10/17), with a Kate Spade New York Eyewear Sale, members can use their iPhone’s camera, take photos of themselves, and get to see sunglasses will actually look like on them. They can adjust the pair so they are properly sitting on the bridge of their nose and swipe through each of the looks to find the right pair. Members can also share their photo on Facebook, Twitter, text message or email.

Shop the Gilt “On the Go” app TODAY at 11:00 am CST! The Gilt “Try It On” Capability is available on your Gilt “On the Go” iPhone app, available through the iTunes store.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
