Tribal

Today’s look is a tribal print dress worn with my current favorite jeans. I seriously wear these every day – they are so comfy and I like the light wash. I also love the peak-a-boo back in this top, which makes it much more interesting in my opinion! I’m all about cut outs this season.

Yesterday I played hooky from work – okay maybe not “hooky” because I actually took a personal day.  First of all, it was almost 80 degrees at 8:00 a.m. so it was bound to be a good day. Also, my son was being extra cute from the moment he woke up. I was literally in the parking lot at day care when I decided to make it a play date instead. Now, I normally wouldn’t just take off of work for no reason, but in my job I can keep tabs on everything via email and phone so I didn’t worry too much.

The day was amazing: we rolled around the grass in the backyard with our puppy, Briggs,  counted ducks and swans in the pond behind our house, had ice cream for lunch, and just cuddled and kissed and giggled a lot. It was a blast. 

I’m reminded of a quote I heard when I was young that always stuck with me, I’m paraphrasing here: 

In 20 years, you won’t regret the things you did in life, but you will regret the things you didn’t do. 

So take that day off and enjoy the moment, you won’t regret it!
