Ive been obsessed with boyfriend shorts all summer. Something about the baggy fit and distressed finish makes it perfect for high temps. I love to pair them with heels as I’ve done here, and a silk Sophia Reyes blouse.
What I love about the blouse is the details – it is nipped in at the waist in the back and the cap sleeves have a great shape adding interest. You can also wear it two ways.
I’d just as easily dress this blouse up with skinny trousers or a pencil skirt, but for now I’m loving the boyfriends. What about you? Do you wear boyfriend jean shorts?

Do you ever rely on technology so much so that you lose your own common sense? I definitely did that today. On the way to visit a client, I plugged in the address into my gps and for a second I wondered why I had to go all the way to the Cicero exit if I’m just going to the financial district in Chicago. Then I blew off my own concern and thought it must be a different route or something. I ended up in a residential neighborhood waay on the South Side of Chicago before I realized my own silly mistake. I also blame Martha Stewart radio for being so darn interesting and distracting me. Luckily, I always factor in ‘getting lost’ time when I have meetings. I’m so not kidding about that – when I first got into sales, my husband bought me a gps because he knew how directionally challenged I am. Thats when I knew he really ‘gets’ me – haha. Lesson learned, do not blindly trust technology – especially Google Maps.
