WGN News Segment – New Years Eve Fashion For Every Age – Under $100!

My biggest styling project to date felt a bit like an HGTV reality show – Style 8 looks all under $100 – with only two days and a weekend to do it all. Did I also mention this was during Christmas? So let’s just subtract two days from the start.
I had a vision in mind of what I wanted to put together, but it all came together once I started scanning the racks at the mall stores. Sequins, metallics, and embellishments were all a part of the New Years Eve party looks. I found some faux leather pieces by Joe Fresh at JCP and The Limited that were so soft, they could rival real leather – well, almost. For the price though, it was totally worth it. The goal was to create one casual and one dressy look for each age group, 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s.
I worked with retailers from Woodfield Mall, picking pieces to fit the models sizes and hoping the brand ran true to size. Luckily everything worked as planned except for one size change and one model outfit switch.
This project was so much fun! I loved working with Chicago Blogger Network members Lisa of stilettos and diaper bags, Rachel of Chicago Chic Blog, Megan of Stylish and Scatterbrained, Stephanie of The Naked Canvas,  Lauren of Lakeshore Lady, Beth of Chic and Glamorous, Shaheen of Lows to Luxe, and of course a big thank you to my dear friend Care, who is not a blogger but could certainly be a model!
