It is easy to put on a cute outfit and hop out of a warm car and be photographed for a winter outfit post, that is often exactly what I do to show new outfit ideas here on the blog. It is a little bit trickier creating an outfit that looks chic AND will actually be functional in the cold weather.
Layering really warm pieces like a fur vest (or faux fur as I’ve worn here) is a great idea – one that I do pretty much year round, because I’m always cold. I like to vary the lengths, sometimes a long vest is the best idea, but here I have paired a waist-length one with jeans and a long loose blouse for more of a hippy vibe.

On another note I’m so bummed I have zero pictures from Christmas eve and Christmas day! We were so busy celebrating with family and hosting Christmas at our house that we did not stop for a moment to document it at all. I’m seriously considering hiring a photographer at my next holiday party or even dinner party that I host. You take so much time to prepare the food, make the house beautiful, and dress up – once it is over, its over. What would you do? Would you/do you hire a photographer for your holiday parties or even for just a dinner party?
