Weekend Trousers

I always forget how much I love a great trouser pant, since I live in skinny jeans/pants on the weekends and I wear skirts and dresses most often for work. Trousers are so comfortable and sophisticated, I am going to incorporate these in my outfits a lot this Spring.

Since the weather was just so lovely this weekend, I decided to wear these for breakfast at Egg Harbor, my favorite local place, I live for their farmer’s benedict! After that, we headed over to the Barrington park district for the kite festival, something Adam is really into these days. I also stopped into a great fabric store called Calico Corners and grabbed a few swatches for a spring master bedroom refresh I am currently working on, stay tuned for that!

The rest of our weekend flew by, I didn’t even get time to do any Kentucky Derby celebrations – did you get to dress up and wear a big hat?? Please share!

I’ve recently made a conscious decision to not over commit myself – whether it is for work, the blog, friends, or even family. For a little while I get that familiar FOMO feeling when I see pictures on instagram, but honestly I don’t even miss it after a few minutes. It is actually incredibly liberating- I recommend giving it a try!
