Fall Wish List

Do you know that JLo just turned FORTY-five? I was just watching an Arianna Grande video the other day thinking, she is like a little mini J-Lo! Then I was thinking, wow I haven’t watched a video in like, forever! I love watching videos. The only videos I watch are the ones I happen to catch if I wake up in the middle of the night to get water, because the hubs likes to have the tv on all night for ‘background noise’. I am the type of person who likes to have complete darkness and complete silence when I sleep, but I guess that is just one of the many compromises that a successful marriage requires! Anyway, now that I have crossed over the 30 year mark, I just hope I can look as good as JLo when I turn 45!

The past couple of days, Adam has been under the weather so I’ve had little time to snap outfit pictures. Instead, I have had a lot of time to think about fall style and what exactly it is I want to incorporate in to my closet. On another note, I recently purged my closet for the (i lost track of how many) time, and I am really excited about all of the newly created space and future potential. My new philosophy is going to be only investing in pieces for the long term, and I am creating a wish list of things I want in my dream closet. That will keep me from impulse shopping and buying something I will just be purging later.

Scroll down to view my current wish list, and read a few notes below!

Also, I’ve updated my Shop My Style page with all of my current favorite things in one place so definitely check it out!

1. I’m finding myself reaching for flat shoes more often these days, and I’ve got my eye on these Aquazzura pair that would look absolutely perfect under cropped jeans or trousers. Here is a similar style that is less than $200, and another similar style for less than $100 with only a few sizes left.
2. Red is so hot for fall and I love the length of this red topper which is also on sale! Another Nordstrom Anniversary Sale pick, this coat is so divine, I would almost say I am ready for winter again just to wear it. ALMOST.
3. J.Crew’s new longer length white shirt is a dream come true for a long torso-ed gal like myself. Also, it makes layering even more fun and easy. For another classic piece to add to my new curated closet, I’d choose this striped button-down from Banana Republic.
4. Grey is having a major moment and I love the unexpected combination of a knit or stretch skirt with a more formal top. I would pick this wrap skirt or this longer darker grey pencil skirt, both from Asos
