The other day we were out running errands and we made a pit stop at the farmer’s market, so of course I asked Tom to snap a few pictures of me. Now that I am cooking more often, I love experimenting with recipes and creating my own version out of whatever is in season. Tonight for dinner I baked garlic chicken and made a side dish of red quinoa with kale, zucchini, red bell pepper, tomato, yellow hot pepper, garlic, and black beans. I sauteed the kale with diced onions, garlic, and olive oil and added everything else diced raw. It was a hit, even though Adam sort of just pushed the quinoa around his plate – that is to be expected for a while I suppose!
About the look – I’ve worn this crop top from Zara so many times this summer, it truly is a great piece to add to any wardrobe. I styled it here with a pencil skirt, and another time with boyfriend jean shorts and pointed toe flats. Here I’ve layered it with a light white button down and jeans for a casual look, and of course I’ve got my new 3.1 Phillip Lim ‘Pashli’ Satchel
from the Nordstrom
Anniversary Sale.
A great white button down shirt is always a good idea in my opinion – I think I have about 5 of them myself! Joes Jeans
has my absolute favorite skinny jeans to date. Seriously – try them! They have the best curve-hugging stretch. I put them above my previous favorites – JBrand and Paige denim.
What is your favorite denim brand?
