Boy Meets Girl

I found these faded black/dark grey pair of denim from h&m in the back of my closet, and immediately thought of these jeans that I’ve been seriously considering investing in. Since I’m now working from home and only part-time, my “work wardrobe” can now consist of whatever I want really, so I need to pick pieces that I will actually wear when I have no one to impress but myself. After about a month of wearing pj’s half the day before guilting myself into changing into yoga pants, I decided my wardrobe choices weren’t working for me. I’m now focusing more on styling my casual clothes and flat shoes, so that I can be really comfortable and yet still look cool – obviously.

One thing I love to do, is wear a pair of brogues instead of flats which are, coincidentally, very much in line with this fall’s menswear inspired style trends. Try adding a pair of brogues/oxfords to your shoe collection, and pair them with everything from denim to dresses. The off-duty model lays claim to inventing this tomboy cool style, and the good news is – you can too! And easy is definitely going to be my new style m.o.
