Having long and thick hair can be both a blessing and a curse – my long-haired sisters out there know how big of a pain blow-drying can be! For thick or thin hair though, there is nothing that makes hair look better than a perfectly executed blow out. That’s precisely why there is such a huge increase in finishing salons, where the services are blow drying, styling, and quick conditioning treatments. The problem is they have always been in the city, and it just isn’t convenient if you are a suburbanite like me! Until now. Enter: Blow Bar.
I first saw the store while visiting the Arboretum in South Barrington, where I take Adam for his haircuts. I immediately squealed for joy and told Tom that I couldn’t wait to try out the place. I reached out to the store founder, Bree, and she was so sweet and fun to work with for this post. I chose the Classic Martini style, which is a traditional big bouncy blow dry. Stylist Jacia washed, pinned, and blow dried my hair. You can add on a scalp massage to your service too, something I highly recommend.
After my blow out, I surprised Tom with a date night – I didn’t want to let this great style go to waste!
Blow Bar is offering Love Zahra readers $5 off any service (blow outs are $35, braids and dry styling start at $15), just mention Love Zahra! Definitely let me know about your experience if you do stop by!
Also – Blow Bar is looking for talented stylists to join their team, they are busier than ever despite just opening their doors. Contact Bree at Blow Bar for more!
