Weekend Uniform

Today’s look is accurately titled ‘weekend uniform’ because I wear a variation of this pretty much every weekend. It is probably the easiest way to look pulled together, but still be comfortable enough to, say, indulge in Sunday brunch without needing to change in to your ‘fat pants’ right after. The key here is the details, a pair of pearl earrings and an up-do make you look like you are dressed up, but the boyfriend jeans, t-shirt, and trench are super comfy and really casual at the same time. I had to add my new Isabel Marant pumps that I scored from the gilt city warehouse sale, because they are so chic and at the same time (going with the theme of today’s post) really comfortable. This look would go just as well with a pair of flats, which I often do. I prefer pointed toe, because it looks a little more polished than a ballet flat, and I believe it lengthens a leg just as much as a nude pump would.

Another trick I learned, with boyfriend jeans, if you roll them up just to the middle of your calf, that is probably the most flattering length. Sometimes with a boyfriend jean rolled to your ankle you can just look a little frumpy.
