I’ve been on the hunt for gingham pieces to add to my wardrobe ever since Fashion Week when I saw it all over the runways for Spring. I loved how designers took what is traditionally thought of as a sweet preppy print and brought it in to the current with styles like crop top skirt twinsets, midi dresses, and pant suits. I recently picked up this pretty gingham cotillion dress from Shabby Apple clothing, and I tempered the sweetness of this tea length dress by adding rich dark accessories like an olive jacket, oxblood bag, and black mule sandals.
Shabby Apple clothing is such a cute online boutique full of pretty dresses and long skirts. There is actually another gingham dress that is long and has long sleeves on my wish list!
I wore this to the cutest baby shower over the weekend and I thought it was very fitting for the occasion – but I already have plans to wear this over and over again in summer with flat sandals and a denim jacket around my waist.
