Dish 1: Brussel Sprouts with Onion and Turkey Bacon
An easy and delicious side dish with only 3 ingredients! Brussel Sprouts, Turkey Bacon, and Red Onion
Ingredients:
20 Brussel Sprouts
5-6 slices of Turkey Bacon
1/2 medium Red Onion
Olive Oil
Directions:
1. Wash Brussel Sprouts Thoroughly, slice off bottom and halve
2. Chop Red Onion
3. Fry Bacon Slices in Pan and Set Aside
4. Grill Red Onion – Add Olive Oil
5. Add Brussel Sprouts Face Down To Pan With Grilled Onion
6. Cook Until Bottom of Brussel Sprout is Browned
7. Add Turkey Bacon and Stir – enjoy!
Dish 2: Brussel Sprouts Roasted with Root Veggies and Rosemary
Root Vegetable Side Dish With Brussel Sprouts
Ingredients:
Brussel Sprouts
Carrots
Sweet Potato
Red Onion
Parsnip
Fresh Garlic
Olive Oil
Dried Rosemary
Recipe:
1. Wash and cut veggies
2. Peel 4-5 cloves garlic
3. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
4. Add olive oil to a baking dish
5. Add garlic, then veggies and toss to coat
6. Roast in oven for approximately 1 hr, or until veggies are soft, and brussel sprouts are slightly charred (I had to do an hour and a half for this amount of veggies – just eyeball it, it’s not rocket science)
