Parka and Tall Boots

As I mentioned, our trip to California was pretty much rained out except for maybe two out of twelve days, and even those days were a little gloomy. So our big sightseeing plans took a back seat and we did more indoor activities and stayed in a lot. One day however, the sun came out unexpectedly, so we decided to take a quick trip to a cute little place called Tildon Farm, in the Berkeley hills. It is a great place to stroll – there weren’t many visitors when we arrived – though it was sort of cloudy and we did go later in the day so that could have accounted for it. The farm is perfect for little ones, especially under five years old who aren’t going to do a huge farm or zoo trip. There are chickens, cows, goats, birds, and pigs – Adam was really excited about running up the hill to see some of the goats at the top. There were also gorgeous views from up there so I had to snap a few pics.

I’m so glad I packed my rain parka and tall boots because I wore them most of the time. A long parka is so necessary for fall, and I wear mine all through winter, just adding a few extra layers underneath for warmth. These boots are currently on sale and a real find – as the song goes – made for walkin’!

Thanks for stopping by as always ~
