When it is chilly, even if it’s 60-degrees-in-California chilly, layering a long sweater with a shorter jacket is an easy way to stay warm without adding a lot of bulk. (Side note: The long sweater + short jacket is also a really great slimming trick for curvy figures.) I bought this striped sweater on sale at H&M years ago and it survived many winters and dozens of closet purges, which just proves that clothes do not have to be expensive to really stand the test of time. If I were in Chicago I’d probably add a winter coat over this – (maybe even two with the current subzero temps!). I’m also wearing my favorite cut out booties by Senso – previously styled here – they are just as comfy as flats but the zipper edge makes it so much more interesting. I wore this casual look out and about with mom and Adam the other day, before joining the rest of the family for an amazing Indian lunch.
We spent the first few days of my trip visiting with family and really running around, but today Adam is under the weather so we are taking it easy and staying in. It is actually a nice change of pace, I’ve been going through old photo albums and reminiscing – I’ve even shared some old pics on snapchat – check them out! Snapchat: @lovezahra.com.
The rest of today I think we will drink some more tea and do some home-made beauty treatments like a facial using avocados and olive oil, and a body scrub using lemon and sugar. Basically all of the fun girly stuff I am normally deprived of living in a house full of boys! Can this vacation never end please?
Thanks for visiting as always xx
