Remember the days when low rise denim were all the rage? I sometimes shudder to think of all the whale-tales I must have flashed to random strangers. A few years ago I discovered that a mid-rise skinny jean was the perfect fit for me, especially as a mom it gave me just enough support around the middle, plus i didn’t have to worry about pulling up my pants after bending down to pick up my child. Even though I’ll never quit my skinnies, sometimes that style can get a little boring – and my new favorite is the cropped kick flare. It isn’t as dramatic as a regular-length flare jean which can look amazing, but then again you have to wear the right sandal that is the perfect height or you will be dragging your hem all day long which just isn’t a good look.
I admit when I first bought these I held on to the box and tags because I wasn’t sure if they were going to be keepers. The minute I first wore them though, I changed my mind because they worked with every basic I had in my closet; I paired with a cami and platform sandals, blouse and high heels, and as I am wearing in today’s post, a t-shirt, moto jacket, and slides.
What do you think? Do you like the cropped kick flare style?
