Getaway Style – Miami

We are back from our weekend getaway to Miami and it was exactly what we needed. We spent days at the beach or pool, and dressed up for lovely dinners in the evening. We always wonder if we would enjoy it as much if we actually lived there all the time, and I really doubt it. Having something to look forward to is almost just as exciting as the actual experience itself. The hard part of course was leaving Adam behind, but daily face time sessions made it bearable, plus we knew he was having a lot of fun with his grandparents. Coming home we went straight from the airport to spend the afternoon with family celebrating Mother’s Day, then we went to pick up our dog and spent the rest of the night just really happy to be together again. Absence really does make the heart grow fonder…
