Introducing: Dessange Paris – Miracle Oleo Collection

dessange-paris-miracle-oleoAbout the line: 60 years ago the House of Dessange opened its doors in Paris, quickly becoming highly sought after salon by chic Parisians. Today, the brand is branching out and releasing four new custom lines available to the public for the first time exclusively at Target. The Miracle Oleo Collection is infused with 3 highly potent oils – argan, camellia and pracaxi – to repair and nourish dry and damaged hair due to processing, color treatment, and heat styling.

As a self-proclaimed hair product snob, for the past few years I have been exclusively using only professional grade shampoo and conditioning products available at my hair salon. My hair is thick but also on the dry side, and if I don’t take care of it properly, I can get extremely brittle split ends, and also dandruff. That also means I limit washing my hair to once or twice a week at most, to keep the precious moisture in where it needs to be.

I tested the Dessange Oleo Miracle Replenishing Shampoo, Replenishing Conditioner, and the leave-in Replenishing Oil. I use a generous amount of each product because my hair is long and also pretty thick. Since I don’t wash my hair too often, I’m very thorough about it when I do. I enjoyed the fragrance, it is scented with notes of orange, gardenia, and sandalwood. For my dry hair, I felt it was left clean and moisturized. After washing and pat drying my hair, I added a few drops of replenishing oil to my hands and ran my fingers through the length of my hair, taking extra care to focus on the ends, and then blow-dried as usual. Sometimes leave in oils can make hair look too greasy, but this one just gave my hair some extra shine. Overall, I love the product line, especially for the value.

Dessange Paris is giving away a set of the collection to one of my readers, so if you are interested, please be sure to leave a comment below! I will announce the winner by Monday! Good luck!
