Spring Dresses with Tommy Bahama

The weather is actually warming up a bit around here (50 degrees yesterday what??) and I’ve completely stopped buying any more coats and heavy sweaters in exchange for more Spring time items. A dress is one busy mom’s go to staple item I like to stock up on in every color, and when it is chilly I just throw on a light jacket or sweater and I’m all set.  One of my favorite places to get high quality and classic pieces is Tommy Bahama. I’ve collaborated with them quite a few times as you may have noticed if you are a regular here, and I’ve been able to get a ton of wear out of everything I have. For me that is so important in choosing what I shop for, if I can’t get a ton of wear out of it, I don’t even bother getting it.
You also may have noticed I try to avoid shopping all of the big fast fashion houses, because I strive to be a conscious consumer, I know that if I get a $5 dress, someone somewhere else is taking a hit. At first the thought of never shopping at Zara again was so scary I didn’t even want to say it out loud, but to be real, it has been so easy – and I end up saving a lot of money which allows me to buy great quality pieces from brands I love and respect.
About my look – the midi dress I’m wearing has a cute neckline with a racerback style. I love the peephole in the back of the neck, and the versatile olive color. I paired with the coziest of all sweater jackets and a pair of boots because it isn’t quite warm enough yet to go without. Take a look at Tommy Bahama’s dress collection – they are currently having a 20% off promotion, until February 21st!
