Summer is finally here and we are taking full advantage by being outside as much as we possibly can. Dressing for summer isn’t always easy though, especially if you really want to look pulled together. For me, warm weather calls for light airy fabrics like linen, easy cropped pants and flowy tanks. I’m teaming up with Thacker NYC today to show you two ways to really elevate your summer style.
- Swap your denim for some Tencel. Besides being eco-friendly and sustainable, the fabric is also moisture wicking and breathable. I also love the look of copper tones on sun kissed skin – and these copper colored cropped pants have a flat front and elastic back waist so they are easy pull ons but they still have that slim tailored look. You can dress them up with a silk cami and strappy heels, or style them casual like I have here with a linen striped tank and flat sandals.
2. Get yourself a summer suit for work or play. This one is everything – I especially love vertical stripes because they really flatter every body shape. My one pet peeve about linen is that it can wrinkle up the moment you put it on, but these are made of a cotton linen blend that stays perfect all day. To create more outfits, each piece of the suit can be worn separately – I’d pair the jacket with a distressed denim skirt and sneakers, and the culottes with a silky cami and slide sandals.
About the brand – Thacker Designer and founder Toni Hacker worked in the fashion industry for years before realizing there was a real need for women to have a wardrobe collection that could easily be mixed and matched, or as they put it ‘that you can throw into a suitcase and have endless wardrobe options at your fingertips’. The pieces are high quality, beautiful, and designed with a timeless style. As a busy mom, I can appreciate anything that will simplify my life.
Also I recommend checking out their Wardrobe Kits – if you are in need of a wardrobe refresh but aren’t sure where to start, you can purchase a curated collection whether it is a travel collection, a starter wardrobe, or even a full wardrobe with clothing and accessories!
Happy shopping! Thanks for visiting as always xx
