Nothing is sweeter than spending time breaking bread with good friends. Tom and I are both introverts, so sometimes it is easier for us just to stay home and be anti-social, especially now that we have two kids. But it never fails, every time we make an effort to go out we are so happy that we did. Last night we celebrated a friend’s new career move, and we had so much fun. It was amazing to reminisce and think about how much our lives have changed since we first met. We went from being single co-workers whose biggest concern was what to eat for lunch, to getting married, getting pregnant, and growing both of our families all around the same time.

I wore my favorite track pants (that I found on major sale!) with my go-to combination of this cami and these strappy heels – If there are any items in my closet that are worn over and over again, it is these two. I gave up comfy shoes for a stretchy waistband, after all fashion is about give and take. I like the balance, dressing up the casual pant – though I would just as easily pair with a pointed toe bootie or loafers for a cooler Fall day.

I’m currently thinking Fall, despite the heat wave we are in (no complaints here!) but also hitting up some major end of season sales that are upon us.
