Thank you for visiting Love Zahra! I’m Zahra Sandberg, a style and beauty enthusiast, married to the love of my life, Tom. We have two babies, Adam and Sophia, and two fur babies, Briggs and Sheema. I’m really proud of my Pakistani heritage and always try to incorporate my culture in life and style decisions. Traveling is my favorite thing to do, and I’ve lived all over the country – born in Pennsylvania, raised in California, went to college in New York, and now happily call Chicago home. Besides style, makeup, and home decor, I am passionate about living life to the fullest, unapologetically.
Love Zahra launched in 2012 because I needed a creative outlet to share my outfit ideas, honest beauty reviews, travel advice, home decor projects, and latest shopping discoveries. After a few years I realized I wanted to use my influence to affect positive change in the world, so now I also include personal stories about my own struggles in life, with motherhood, faith, fitness, marriage – no topic is off-limits. I write as a form of therapy for me, but also with the hopes that it may help someone else who may be going through a tough time. As often as possible, I like to feature inspiring women who are helping to change the world for the better.
I left my corporate career in 2016 in order to work on Love Zahra from home and also be a full-time mom. I thought being home would give me more free time to work, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. That is the main reason why I am posting a little less often around here, not because I don’t love it as much as I did when I wrote my first post, because I do. Raising kids has been the most joyful but also the toughest, both mentally and physically, challenge I’ve ever attempted. Life is always busy and never not crazy, but I love it and wouldn’t want it any other way.
