Bold Printed Dresses with Tommy Bahama

This past weekend we celebrated Adam’s birthday, he was over the moon because it is the first party where his friends from school attended. He specifically asked me to invite them and then even told me to make sure they are coming. It was bittersweet for me because he is getting so independent, and while I love that, it reminds me he’s not a baby anymore *sniff*. We have been watching this movie on repeat called ‘inside out’  which is all about personal feelings, there are characters like joy, anger, and sadness that are competing with each other in a child’s brain. Adam said he likes Joy better than Sadness, and I thought that was a pretty good call! Out of the mouth of babes…

For today’s Blogger Nation post we are teaming up with Tommy Bahama, a brand that truly embodies the beautiful Hawaiian culture. One trip to Hawaii will make you fall in love with the lifestyle, every time I go I start scheming on ways to actually live there full time.  I’ve learned I make the most of the clothing I actually connect with on a personal level, and for example the artist story behind some of the bold prints in the new Tommy Bahama collection leaves me inspired and excited. The prints are custom drawn by in-house artists, and this season is all about reinventing classic prints. I’m wearing one of my favorite styles of the season, the lace-up dress, in the Remy Retro print, which if you look closely, you can see it looks very much like a water color painting. It was pretty chilly this past weekend so I paired with my over-the-knee boots and layered a light jacket on top. I can’t wait to style this for warmer weather – I would wear a chunky heeled platform sandal, and accessorize with a brightly colored bag.

As always thanks for visiting xx
