Spring Neutrals

Ok so maybe I should switch the title of this post to read ‘year-round neutrals’ because honestly that has been my go-to season after season. One look in my shoe closet, you will notice there is a disproportionate number that are grey, blush, beige, and as many shades of ‘nude’ as there are actual skin tones in this world. The obvious reason for this is the sheer versatility of a neutral – which is pretty much the definition of the word ‘neutral’ – they work all the time with everything. Period. When you are busy doing life, and who isn’t – it makes sense to simplify wherever you can, and the easiest place to start? Your closet.

Today’s look is another outfit straight out of my post-pregnancy fashion formula, which is to layer a blazer or cardigan that hits at the hip over a shorter top – or in this case a tucked in to a tee.  I’m obsessed with this cardigan from J.Jill because it is the perfect length to wear over a top and pants or dresses, and it is super lightweight and should take you through the summer. Also for those wanting to add a little coverage to something sleeveless, this is a great option. Again I’m wearing my favorite Levi’s jeans, though I have just purchased these and I really love them too.
