Silk-Pajama-Blouse-High-Waist-Jeans-Anthropologie

Fancy enough for a girls night out, and comfy enough for a girls night out in your 30’s.

There I was, naked, standing in front of a row of colorful pieces that have accumulated over many years through careful choosing, or on complete whims. I had no time to waste and I was starting to get the first signs of anxiety. It was my daily battle. My wardrobe was my enemy. Tonight was girls night out – and I had nothing to wear.

Then I found my savior, in the form of a colorful striped pajama blouse. A button down blouse with denim will always be my favorite, and the fact that it looks and feels like pajamas is just a bonus. Paired with my go-to (seriously I wear them constantly) jeans, and my satin ankle pumps, I felt fancy enough for my girlfriends and comfy enough for what would end up being a night of a whole lot of eating. Not saying I can’t still turn up like I used to but…sometimes in your 30’s you’d just rather have girl talk and good food – lots and lots of food 🙂

We went to Beatrix in Fulton Market for dinner – which was nice because we had some Vegans in the group and they had a cauliflower steak they liked. I recommend the Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts, and the Ravioli with ricotta – so so good. For dessert we stopped at Bombobar and got a bunch of everything but the donuts were my favorite.

The conversation ran the spectrum from manifesting our lives with our innate supernatural powers, to debating whose family was the craziest. Returned home later with a full stomach and a fed soul. Hoping for many more nights like these <3
